My research explores interactive techniques designed to overcome limitations of current conventional search tools as primary access points to information, and better support a wider range of information seeking behaviors, including exploratory search, serendipity and orientation. Drift
A custom computer-driven cable-based solution for moving a light over the stage along 3 axes. A joystick and 3D interface allows registration of checkpoints in space. Connected motors smoothly drive the light from a point to another. Made with Victor Roy for choreographer Cindy Van

Relevance Map
A relevance mapping and re-ranking method is proposed in which relevance and document density are visualised on a map with respect to a user's query phrases. Pointing to a specific location on the map re-ranks the results with respect to the selected position.

Knock Knock
A playful calculator designed for small children. Knock out a calculation on the wood surface and it will knock back with the answer.

Grand National
Grand National takes advantage of the ubiquity of Darzan, a wooden rocking horse one finds easily on Swiss playgrounds. Its declining popularity in the 21st century makes it an endangered species. This project aimed to make Darzan relevant again by making it interactive.
